My first Art Journal page

I've been working on these pages and thought I'd start off with something simple and work up to the heavy stuff. I will probably keep those ones to myself though. I'm a bit nervous of showing these as they are the first pages I've completed. I will probably look back on these at some point and wish I hadn't shared them with the blogging world!

I've used my fave things to show my fave things, including stampotique and paperartsy stamps paints and doodles.

Update: I've decided to be brave and enter this for this week's ~{Stampotique Challenge}~ which is to 'think outside the box' and try something new. I think this will qualify for that!

Well I know I'd be very very proud of myself if I'd made something as gorgeous as this, I love the way you've made such a beautiful page, but still managed to bring lots of fun and humour into it

Oh Wow, that is so beautiful! Nothing there to be worried about at a later date. An obsession with ink and paint seems perfectly normal to me! Loving your self portrait, you really are a very scary woman lol!

How lovely of Stampotique to make a stamp of you just for your journal pages - lol! I absolutely love these pages Kaz - your personality shines through and as Janice says, an obsession with paints/inks/stamps seems perfectly normal, long may they protect your sanity.

Hello there!
I love making journal pages but I've never thought of using the stampotique stamps for that. And now I see what you have done - LOve it!
Now I don't feel like going to work - instead I would like to try this myself! Thank you for this great inspiration!

I very much like what you have done with your first page. Would be interested in your technique of laying down the color. Do you gesso first? Heavy or lightly on the page?
Beautiful colors. Are you using Golden acrylic? Just love your style. Thank you for joining us at Stampotique and I hope we see more of your work as time goes on.
