WOYWW - swinging both ways

Oh yes, today I'm swinging as I have 2 views I don't usually have. I'm visiting Lynne this week so brought a few bits with me and today I'm painting.

I'm doing a bit of art journalling. Well I'm painting anyways. I've got 3 pages decorated, but no words as I'm struggling to take that step. I think I'm just a bit nervous of putting things actually onto the paper as opposed to them being in my head. I shall try to do something by the end of the day. This is how far I've got today:

You may be able to see some white little things on the page. Here's a closer look:

Jessie has been losing her teeth! She lost these 4 in the last 3 days! The Magpie has cleaned them up so she can keep them.

So here's my swing to the left, the lovely Jessie herself, sparko after a mad run about in the field with her doggy friends.

Yes, that is her bed to the right. She prefers to lie on the wood of the doorframe than her bed.

And this is my swing to the right. The Magpie is off school ill today so I have company.

You now need to head over to ~{Julia's Blog}~ to have a good rummage through other people's creative spaces.

Love the Magpie's slippers - I can fall over my own feet pretty easily so I can just imagine how much time I'd spend picking myself up off the floor if I had those!

The teeth - well, what can I say?

The book..looks fab

Now, correct me if I'm way out here, but I ain'tnever seen a magpie with feet like that..ever. To start with, there's a basic proportion issue, surely?

The new project looks good - would Magpie like my tooth when it finally comes out! I am too tight to pay the dentist for the job my tongue is doing well enough on it's own...sowwy, TMI.

Magpie's slippers are very cool (not the right thing though really).

I know how you feel about putting down things in writing. Why doesn't it feel like that when you blog? I'm not sure at all, it seems much less formal than pen and paper.

Lovely colours and your portable workdesk looks good too. Have fun with Lucy and Jess.

Sorry I didn't get to visit your blog yesterday. It was my 1st WOYWW post and I didn't realise just what a feat it was visiting 120 (last count)! Love your art journal and the colours you have used. I have been seeing a lot of ajs lately and it is slowly inspiring me to do one myself. You have given me the inspiration. TFS. ~Glen~

Love the backgrounds you have created...not sure about the teeth lol ...did you create the actual blank book? ... What weight of paper did you use?...or is it an already made artists journal?

Thank you for the link, I'm going to use (sez me thinking I have soooo much time!) an old ring bined dairy that has never been used. I hope PVA glue will do! (watered down a lot!) as I haven't the other stuff, it should be fun!

Hi Kaz, love Magpie's slippers and hope she is feeling better! Your art journal looks lovely you are very clever creating that background there! Love you dog, mine always chooses bizarre places to lay instead of his nice comfy bed. There is still a little tea shop just outside Battle Abbey to the left, its actually two shops away from the sweet shop in my photo! Have a great week! Tracey xx

I know. You don't have to remind me how late I am this week. But I'm here now, snooping and enjoying your creative way of toting paint. I always say you should be able to see the bottom of the bottle for two reasons: color and ease or removal from the bottle. It's a clever idea and I hope others take your tip. Magpie's slippers are a hoot. Got a big laugh there. It's almost time for the next WOYWW, so I'd better get going.
